Christopher James Fagon passed away on October 3 at the age of 39. He was born on April 12, 1987 to Joyce (Smith) Fagon and James Fagon, and he lived in Watsonville his whole life. In 2005, he graduated from Watsonville High School, where he played on the football team. He was very mechanical and loved working on dirt bikes which he rode with his friends in the hills around Watsonville. He later got a Harley-Davidson motorcycle which he enjoyed riding. Chris had a lifelong love affair with trucks. He became a professional truck driver and drove big rigs for Hildebrand & Sons Trucking driving routes throughout the Central Coast, the Central Valley, and beyond. He was a hard and conscientious worker. He was also a dedicated 49ers fan. Everyone who knew Chris loved him. He was caring and understanding and would do anything for his family and friends. He greeted people with a wide, warm smile and brought joy and laughter to every family gathering. He was dedicated to his close-knit group of friends and spent many hours with them barbequing, riding dirt bikes and motorcycles, watching sports and going to games. Chris was a pleasure to be around. He was accepting of others and was always ready to laugh, tell stories, and joke around. Chris is survived by his mother, Joyce; his father, James; his sister, Leola; his nieces Mariah, Malanee, Mackenzie and Hailey; and his close extended family of half-siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles who will miss him dearly. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, October 23 at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park located at 127 Hecker Pass Road. After the service, friends and family are invited to a luncheon at the Watsonville Women’s Club at 12 Brennen Street in downtown Watsonville.
